The stainless steel steering tube
is machined from 304 stainless steel, then polished to a chromelike
finish.
ADM's steering tube uses the same compressing sealing method that stock
aluminum steering tubes use, but instead of using aluminum jam nuts, the
new steering tube uses stainless steel ones. On the other end of the
steering tube, ADM has installed an end-cap nut with an internal O-ring
and a general-purpose grease fitting for servicing. This new tube will
replace the stock aluminum tube, eliminating the corrosion and
electrolysis found in stock steering-tube systems. With less corrosion and
electrolysis, steering-cable life can be extended, saving you money.
ADM's new steering tube will fit all common jet drives: Berkeley, Jacuzzi,
American Turbine, Dominator, Aggressor and Legend. ADM also has an adapter
kit that allows its new steering tube to be used on Berkeley jet drives
that have Jet-O-Vators installed.
The retail price for ADM's steering tube is $175.
